How Emergency Repair Requests Are Reviewed

Emergency requests are reviewed according to program requirements, urgency, funding, location, available resources and the nature and scope of the repair need. An assessment may be required to confirm the condition and determine appropriate next steps.

  1. Submit an assistance request and describe the urgent condition.
  2. Provide requested household, property and repair information.
  3. The Foundation reviews eligibility, urgency and available resources.
  4. An assessment may be arranged when appropriate.
  5. If approved, the Foundation coordinates the available materials, labor, contractors, volunteers and project oversight.
  6. Completed work is documented and reviewed against the identified repair scope.

Important Assistance Notice

Submitting an emergency assistance application does not guarantee approval, immediate service or completion. Assistance depends on eligibility, available funding, project scope, geographic service capacity, safety priorities and available resources.
